I am using Build 4196
and I created a new file with it.
After just a few instances of
using the Duplicate and Attach to
Parent command, I found that the
new primitives I added would not
be correctly drawn. Lines connecting
them to the older objects appears
at random places and those lines
(in many cases) remained a permanent
part of the model, and even caused
my POV scans to look wrong.

An example of a corrupted file
is at:

I downloaded it and it looks and renders fine to me. Can you explain
how to get the messed up look?

	I am running Build 4196
on Windows 95.

When I load this file, I
immediately see (in the Front view)
large rectangle with X-shaped lines
running across the diagonals.

Those lines are not supposed to
exist. They connect different primitives.
From certain angles they will appear
in a POV render.

(continued) In fact
when I hit F9 to start
render, Moray removes those
lines from all the windows!
But they come back later.

The render that I DO get from
the file, exactly as posted on my
website, is incorrect. The boundary
of the vertical flat plate is lower
than it ought to be. It has a slanted
lower boundary that was formed by
these "ghost lines"

Since I can't reproduce this at all and just to make sure that we are
seeing the same thing, could you make a screen shot of screen and post
it to your website? I really don't know what could be going wrong.

If they appear in a POV render, then there is something else wrong.
Moray never exports the edges it draws to POV-Ray. Maybe your CSG is
going wrong somewhere?

I have put two files on
the web:

	http://byrden.com/conduit.mdl

"conduit.mdl" has been created today
using simple primitives and its CSG
is correct.

When I load "conduit.mdl" into Moray
(build 4196) select the object called
"Left Parts", and click the button
"Bounding Box/New" at the bottom of
the Moray tool menu, then the result
I get is an incorrect bounding box.
The resulting appearance of my screen
is shown in this file:

Lutz? Does this bug occur on
your computer?

Yes, indeed it does. Thanks for the report, I'll check what the
problem is. It seems to be related to reference objects. I think maybe
the wireframe construction is faulty.
