Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with that problem. I guess we should
have just used ftp to upload the files? As of 2006-10-20, web submission
gives me an error saying that voting is taking place.

That's bizarre...!!
I suppose that for one reason or another, it refers to the previous
round....
Well, I suppose that through ftp uploading has been achieved correctly,
otherwise there is very little we can do... except grumble :-)

I just uploaded using FTP, due to the web submission / voting issue.
*crossing fingers* I sent an email to the IRTC Admins about the
problem yesterday. I hope all is well with IRTC. I have allot of
work in on this one...

What worries me is that I expected an e-mail telling me that everything was
ok (or not) with my upload, like in the past. I thought - wrongly maybe -
that that was an automatic process. But I have received nothing... Just
waiting now to see if I'm there when the list appears on the IRTC site....
:-(

If you're not, then I'm probably not either, since I also did not receive an email
confirmation. I wasn't sure if I would, though, since I've never used ftp submission
and I've only used the web
submission once in the past. *both fingers crossed now*

Hey guys, I've used the web submission ever since my three images for the
'Minimalism' round didn't make it through the email route (the images were
sent, didn't bounce, and are 'out there' somewhere, and I didn't receive the
confirmation email ).

To say I was disappointed, is an understatement.

My last two web submissions for the IRTC went through fine though, so you
should be ok. If not, then something has to be done about it once and for
all!

Ok, let's get our heads together and think of a punishment... ;)

Force the IRTC admin to render one of Gilles' masterpieces using only an
abacus and a set of felt-tip pens.

Only joking, I can appreciate Real Life must be the cause for our
consternation! I too am awaiting final confirmation from an FTP submission.
Let's not cross too many fingers guys, we might jinx it!

We get confirmations from an FTP submission? How does that work? I haven't
gotten anything, although my and many other images are in the
/pub/stills/incoming directory. If that directory is accurate as to the
number of admissions, looks like we'll have a really small round this time.

Like Bill said, I suppose too that Real Life is behind this.

I am afraid I don't exactly remember how that went with ftp submission, been
awhile since my last submission, but I thought there was that control about
file-name length, e-mail address, image weight (in terms of kb), etc...

Let's be patient :-)

Thomas
