Anyone know what happened to the IRTC mailing lists?
I just changed ISPs and tried to re-subscribe, but
all my requests bounced with nameserver problems.
Tried browsing www.niestu.com, it timed out.
Hope nothing bad has happened...

Well I too hope nothing bad has happened. I had the same problem yesterday
though, when I sent a test message to see if the list was dead, or if I had
some kind of problem. This probably has something to do with the delayed
announcement of winners.

Here is the reply I got from Chip Richards about the problem.

===============
NiEstu is currently off-net, so all NiEstu lists are currently
unavailable. We're working on a solution to get back on. I personally
am looking into migrating the IRTC lists to the irtc.org server, but
it'll take a lot of work to do so.

Moral: Never select PSInet as your ISP.

Apparently Chip is having serious problems, again, with the provider for
NiEstu. So about all we can do, for now, is to just keep checking the
web page for the results. The web site is ok. The only problem is with
the mailing list.

Yeeeeaaah, keep checking, keep checking... Dozens of people are
keeping checking, I guess, currently, like myself and some of my
lads...

For the third day, I am going to bed thinking "well, when I woke up
it will be there" :-/

(no criticism, just description of nervous syndrom...)

Fabien.

See, since I know I'm not going to win, I don't have any nervousness. :)
What I have is impatience. I just want to know. I HATE not knowing things.
I want to know NOW. *jumps up and down* Now! Now! Now! Now! Now!

*stops jumping, words trailing off*

Er. Excuse me. Just a small flashback to toddler-hood. Comes of all the
toddler-age children my officemates have, I'm sure. I'm better now.

Well, there's always tomorrow. I think I'll go channel all this energy
I have into creating more bizarre isosurfaces that aren't quite what I'm
after...

Thanks Bob,

I appreciate hearing something, even if it just confirms what I pretty much
suspected. Same probably goes for a lot of folks. In fact actually knowing
helps me out; I suffered from a touch Fabien & Tina's affliction myself! :)
