I know that the Stills creators have a nice Stills compotition running on
the TC-RTC, but I noticed that the animators don't have a nice outlet.

I was wondering if anyone would like me to set up a small fill-in
compotition on my webspace, for animations. There will be the same
three-month deadlines.

I have much more free time on my hands, and could make sure the system would
work perfectly. Not to mention I'd announce new topics before setting up
the viewing and voting page for the last topic.

It would be partially automated. Please post if anyone supports, because I
myself am in need of an outlet for my creativity.

     Hi Nmajmani

       Thank you so much for your kind offer, really. But there will be an
animations outlet on the TC-RTC by the 13th August, and if not, sooner.
Apparently, adding animations isn't as easy as adding the stills, as it's
more complicated to do so. So please be patient, it will be up and running
two weeks before the end of the competition.

   If you have an animation that you have worked on, and want to enter "The
Black Robe", then please do. It ends on August 31st, (and is now 4 months
long, with a 12Mb limit), it would be very much appreciated.

     ~Steve~

        TC-RTC admin.

OK, thanks for the info. I had no idea the TC-RTC was working on an
animation outlet.

I'll see what I can do for the Black robe.

   Thank you for your understanding Nimish.

    That would be wonderful! No problem if you can't make it, but there's
always the next one for the animations - "The History of Science". Same
rules as stills - anything to do with that title goes. This one is from
September 1st to December 31st, and I for one, can't wait for that! :o)

I was not aware that the 'History of Science' would be an animation topic.
I could do that one instead.
Can we start now?

   The Stills topic will also be the animation topic.

Uh. Huh?
I thought there'd be another topic picked on September 1st,
along with the next stills round? (otherwise, within a year,
we'll have a head start on each animation topic by six months ;)

Like:

Stills Topic A -> Animation Topic A
Stills Topic B -> (Topic A cont.)
Stills Topic C -> Animation Topic C
Stills Topic D -> (Topic C cont.)
Stills Topic E -> Animation Topic E

...

instead of:

Stills Topic A -> Animation Topic A
Stills Topic B -> (Topic A cont.)
Stills Topic C -> Animation Topic B
Stills Topic D -> (Topic B cont.)
Stills Topic E -> Animation Topic C

(see the problem?)

Not that i wouldn't like to do something for "the history of
Science" ;)

"Black Robe": progressing, but still slow.

Hi,

seems the IRTC server disappeared from the map for a day and took the
most recent messages with it? Anyone any info on this? Harddisk b0rken?
Restored from backup?

Just curious.

Minor tweaking: Hair interpolation closer to guide elements:

Added object: Wizard needs book, of course:

I noticed that too. Seems to be just a glitch in the server. The same
thing happened to the Pov-Ray Website.
It must have been restored from backup, because everything a couple days
before vanished.

That's my best guess.
