I saw this web page and at first was honored, but then I wondered exactly
how the ranking were acheived. If say one entered in every round since the
beginning, and came in 5 of 6 every time, would you eventually rise to the
top of this list?

That's how I did it. (Okay, I did miss three rounds.)

Yes, all the participations are taken into account for the overall ranking.
Obviously, it will be difficult to over-rank John. :-)
But note that he didn't only came 5 or 6, but rather 1st or 3rd. There's
much points awarded to the first ones.
Normally there's a point table in the FAQs of the site, but I just saw
that the link was broken, I'll have to fix that.
