OK, make that three submissions, once i get the compression
done... but somehow i feel a bit sad. Where did all the
active participants go? Did i miss something?

I thought about entering, but the topic didn't really inspire me... maybe
next time...

(Almost) the same here, but then with two weeks to the
deadline i sort of forced myself to submit at least
something. Otherwise (me only being an after-hour animation
hack with intermittent phases of couch-potatoism) my
software might have begun collecting dusty bytes on the
harddisk...
I started out with storyboarding at the beginning of
September. Then i started moving packing cases due to a
renovation instead ;)
In the end, two weeks ago, i threw out the original
storyboard which i saw i wouldn't be able to complete by
October 15th, and threw together some bits and pieces
instead. I've found i only need to overcome my initial
inertia to get going...
so, i managed to stretch a new effect i came up with, lots
of camera movement on a static scene, a single odd idea plus
a few less-than-stellar subtitled quips into a 3:40 MPEG
with a severe case of compression wrinkles. And, well, if it
gets accepted, it'll be entry #3 for this round ;)
While a three-entries-round makes for a fast and easy
download, i wouldn't mind downloading significantly larger
amounts... *wink, wink*
I'm not sure if i'd needed to hurry, because the readme file
on the server claims September-November as animation
timeframe (huh? two months only? more like for stills
contest?) as well as July-October. Seems there's been some
mix-up...
Anyway, longing for the next topic to be announced... (ah,
anyone remembering the times of our collaborative IRTC
t-shirt...? those were the days ;)

I've been off-line until about ten minutes ago, so I'm not in. But my
record for most consecutive rounds entered now stands at 19!

John

Awww. It's just not the same without Rusty. :(
(seriously)
Hoping to see you around for the next (current...) round.
