The results are in. I'd like to thank you all for the score you gave my
entry and also for the nice (and valuable) comments!

That should be enough encouragement for me to keep on woring on JPatch :-)

I've made a mistake in my submission text-file: It was Roberto Amorim
who posted the idea of using a Rusty impostor to the newsgroup.
David Cuny wrote the initial script, and as it seems to be the plot that
is responsible for that high score, I'd again like to thank both of
them! (I wish I had such funny ideas on my own :-)

The sources for two shots of this animation are now available with the
latest release (0.4 preview 1) of JPatch, which can be downloaded from
http://www.jpatch.com
I'll make the sources for the whole animation availiable once u/v
mapping is "officially" supported...

Best regards,
-sascha

You definitely deserve the high score you got. The movie is great!

I'm glad that quick joke turned into something as original as your entry.
Congratulations again!

Well done, it was a good entry.

I'm quite happy with the results (and comments) I got,
and I also got 5th place in the stills (just missing out on
the 'medals') too.

You're welcome. :-)

But I think all the credit for the animation should go to Sascha. Ask anyone
who's done any animation, and they'll tell you there's a world of
difference between coming up with an idea, and actually _implementing_ that
idea.
