I just wanted to know whether people would consider a meteor strike to be off
topic?

As far as I'm concerned outer-space is part of nature, and meteors certainly
have force, but I'm just worrying that the judges of this round might see it as
a contrived excuse for me to do some cool space effects ;)

Well put. Meteors are definitely a force of nature.

Cool. Thanks for the reassurance :) I think I'll proceed with this idea.

Now I just hope I get round to doing an animation, I keep getting side tracked!
