A while back, for the stills round, the topic for October was announced
as "Horror," an entire year in advance, so that artists would have
an entire year to work on the results.
I'd like to make a suggestion for the animation round in a similar
vein. The topic would be Rusty, and October 2003 will be Rusty's
5th birthday. As my humble part, I would make the Rusty sources,
plus advice on their proper use, available to the community, and I
would also refrain from entering that round. Everyone would have
a year to make the coolest Rusty animation they could whip up.
What say ye?
Regards,
John

Sounds like a great idea. Three months isn't really enough to make a
really good animation, and it sure would be fun to see what people could
come up with in a year.
I would suggest another topic, though. Having to use Rusty sounds a bit
too limiting IMHO. I would rather pick a topic from the ordinary topics
list used by the admins.

It would be great fun for me-- to have "my" characters interacting with
Rusty.
If I were limited to using only your characters, its zzzzzzzzzzz.

Ahah! So now I see who it is that makes the ever-returning Rusty
animations!

Yes, but the following difficulties have arisen:
First, my machine is becoming unstable.
Second, the wife bought me Diablo for XMas.

I do not understand how a boring game such as diablo, could pull someone
away from valuable & constructive animation renders :P

Tis a good game! - just a pity about the fixed low screen res, ah well
Personally Civ3 is the most damaging to productivity, days degerate into a
blur of toilet & cig breaks when I get into that.
