Hi Bald, I wasn't familiar with "bsac" before. I have experience with PVMPOV,
mpipov, and httpov. I've been using SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource
Management) for about 10 years; a workload manager for HPC clusters in
conjunction with POV-Ray. I published my SLURM/POV-Ray script files on GitHub
two weeks ago:

Distributed ray-tracing animation rendering using SLURM work-stealing on a
compute cluster: https://github.com/bullet-physics-playground/povray-slurm

SLURM works well for me because it has a decent job scheduler that works well
for my needs. Furthermore, at my current workplace (at a biochemistry
engineering company), we also have the option of running POV-Ray on a large
HPC cluster with 3000 compute nodes.

Kind regards,
koppi
