I think this is because Antialiasing is not active by default, you 
should enable it.
For example, with these flags, you get a quality antialiasing:
+a0.01 +am2 +r3

If rendering takes to much time (especially if you use radiosity), you 
can set +r3 to +r2 or +r1 to decrease traced rays.
