it used to export vector paths into povray lathe objects, yes.  I used it once,
was pretty alright.

I use Blender as a hobbyist and since then have had little interest into
scripting.  Though for purely abstract math-like CG, povray has no competition.
The kind of incredible images you'd get out of competitions such as povray short
code contest.  we need more of that...
