Unfortunately I believe POV-Ray 3.7 does still clean the slate of memory for
each frame.

I recall when persistent variables were introduced in patched versions, and
apparently it's now a feature of UberPOV. Just not something available via P-R
3.7 AFAIK.

Sorry I can't tell you if that would be the possible solution since I can't
remember if declared objects will store in memory frame to frame using
#persistent = [object{model}].
