No, Windows as to Version 7 needs to be activated, which means that your
MAC-adress and other system specific numbers have to be registrated. Some
changes were allowed (a new hard drive e.g.), but not a new machine. Now one has
to make an account at Microsoft to use Windows 8. That means one has to give an
email-address. This is a new qualitiy IMO. BTW I was not able to install Suse
12.3 at my machine (I yielded only a black screen with vertical white lines and
had a lot of problems to get rid of it) and I'm really happy to have Windows
back just to can use the machine...
