I am trying to install POV-Ray for Linux x86.

My OS is Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64.

I have done step by step the instructions on POV-Ray download site and just at
root to finish installation I get the message "permission denied".

Is it due to some kind of difference  between x86 and x86_64?

What other reason must it due?
