One way to make an MSet/Burning Ship hybrid is to find the minimum value between
the real and imaginary parts after squaring. Nothing happens initially, but when
you subtract a value from one function, the whole thing starts to cleave.
The cleft causes mirroring (from the absolute values), and this results in all
sorts of weirdness. One such occurrence is displayed in the attached. I think
I've seen this somewhere else...
