If that's the case--no pun intended ;-) --then the wording certainly needs
changing and clarification, IMO. The phrase (or idea of) 'conditional clause',
and possibly the word 'evaluate,' would appear to have unintended multiple
meanings there--at least to *this* poor struggling soul. :-(
