I do know that feeling!  Let's say I get a scene to 90% of the way I want it
within a couple of days (actually, a gross under-exaggeration.) It's that final
10% that takes weeks longer! By which time all I want to do is put it away so I
don't have to look at it anymore--all the newly-seen flaws seem insurmountable.
Of course, coming back to it later with a clearer mind makes it *so* much easier
to tackle.
