The solution as promised:

Professor Featherstone told them that falcons are not eagles.
Specifically, falcons are members of the family Falconidae, while eagles are
members of the distinctly separate family Accipitridae.











x  = (p+2) - (p-1)
x  = 3

Corollary: Math professors and I. T. Coordinators have WAY to much time on their
hands.
