Ok, I think I got this working, but my object looks slightly squashed.
camera {
  location  <0, 0, -10>
  direction z
  up y
  right  x*image_width/image_height
  look_at   <0.0, 0.0,  0.0>
}
The render window looks right, but the output looks stretched?
