Whooohah!
I thought RAID systems were designed to even survive loss of a *complete* hard
disk?!
Then again, most are only designed to survive *loss* of a drive, not a single
stray bit error without any other fault symptoms. So if the RAID controller
told one of the hard disks to "write X", and that hard disk understood it to
mean "write Y", then... well, sounds like a fun afternoon!
