I did a search first and saw some posts back in 2004....I would be surprised
if this issue has not been addressed more recently but I could not find
reference to it.
If you export a poser scene containing dynamic hair with "show populated"
checked, the vast data for strand hair is exported (not just the guide
hairs). I have been told it is 'spline' information.
This will not render in POV-Ray, is that correct? I have been told it would
have to be 'polygonized' to render properly, and that a file with 700,000
lines in it with mathematical description of, say, 30,000 strands of hair,
would not succeed.
Can anyone speak to this?
......is there a way to get the spline data to render in POV-Ray?
......if not, how would one turn the splines into polys?
......if that could be done, would POV-Ray be able to cope with it?
