I can't comment on its relative rendering speed but I've been perfectly
happy with MegaPOV 1.21 under MacOS X on an Intel MacBook (I expect the
PowerBook has more, er, power). The most recent version of Daz|Studio even
runs on it now, although sadly it's over to Windows and back for Poseray
(hint! hint!).
