Thanks again, I was having problems with the texture on the close up tree,
the pigment looked OK but I could not get a good normal. A quick search of
the web and I was pleased to find a good normal_map for a bark texture
which I combined with my pigments in a pigment_map and a few layered
textures to produce something far better than my earlier attempts.
The texture I found on the wiki used the same pattern for the pigment_map as
is used in the normal_map which I had never thought of doing before
(although it makes a lot of sense when you think about it).
I will tidy up the source (probably not a lot, I'm afraid my POV code lacks
a lot in style/comments/mathmatical ability etc... and generally contains a
lot of trial and error..) and post it to the sources group.
