Thanks for letting me know that, Chris. I'll have to get ahold of him. He
is an amazing guy. I think that I knew Chris for a couple of years before
I learned that he typed Compuserver emails, legal letters, documentation,
using a pencil in his mouth! And boy, did he ever type a LOT!

And to you, Chris Cason... my hat is definately off to you for where you
have taken POV-Ray. I think that you know that I had some serious
skepticism about your ambitions when you first joined us, but man... have
you ever put THOSE to rest! You've taken this project to heights never
dreamed of, and you've worked long and hard for it. I recall my doubts
when you first announced that you wanted to do a Windows interface. Today,
I wouldn't want to even run the sample files without the wonderful GUI that
interfaces with the engine, yet still allows the engine to remain
wonderfully multi-platform.

I also have to extend extreme compliments to whoever is responsible for the
fantastic help files! They're not only helpful, but filled with historic
background that even I didn't remember until I read it there. If only most
programs costing thousands, or even tens of thousands of dollars had such
documentation. Believe me... I know from personal experience. For the
past couple of years my job has been working with such software, and it has
been a constant frustration with the lack of proper documentation and
information.

How 'bout the rest of the ol' gang, Chris? Ever hear from any of them? I
know that DKB has checked in a couple of times. What about Dave Mason?
Remember his early animation program? And Bert Tykler, also from Fractint?
(btw, did you know that there are Wikipedia entries for both POV-Ray and
Fractint?)
