Kwrite & QTPoveditor for SDL. Wings3d & jpatch for meshes.  I use Hamapatch
& Wings in Windows, so its nice to have essentially the same tools in
Linux.  Only thing I miss is Terragen or another good terrain
generator/editor.  I used to use Terraform in Linux, but it doesn't appear
to be actively developed any more. Am currently trying to get it to compile
on Slack 9.1.

Haven't tried kpomodeller, but it looks like it has a lot of features.  Am
just starting to learn Art of Illusion.

Blender also has some very nice modelling tools, although in the past I
found it very non-intuitive. Just downloaded the latest release though and
will give it another try, since I would like to have something that can do
nurbs.

I think (but may be wrong) that Giram & K3d are for Renderman based
renderers not Pov.
