You can be sure that a texture/pigment shows up as an exact color by setting
its finish as follows:

finish
{
  ambient 1
  diffuse 0
  specular 0
  reflection 0
  phong 0
}

Unfortunately, most of the beauty of POV-Ray is lost with these settings.
