1*t and t*1 do evaluate to the same thing, <0,0,0,1>.

It's A+1*t and A+t*1 that evaluate differently (where A is a 2d or 3d
vector).


Perhaps more worrying is that  A+1*z  is different from  A+z*1  (where A
is a 2d vector) even though 1*z = z*1 = <0,0,1>.
