This didn't seem to get any attension in p.g, so I'll post it here.
Please verify the following behavior when options are set to
allow undo after file save:
Open a file
Change a single character
Save the file - Now the "Save" button is grayed
Press Ctrl+Z - Now the "Save" button is enabled
Now change a single character somewhere else
and now the "Save" button is grayed as if the
file has no changes.
Pov 3.6.1, Win 2K

I can verify it. Also with Win2k. Try this too:
1. Open a file in POV-Ray
2. Change a single character - Now the "Save" button is enabled
3. Minimize POV-Ray by clicking at the taskbar (not the icon at top
right corner).
4. Restore POV-Ray by clicking at the taskbar - Now the "Save" button is
incorrectly disabled.
The same happens if you "activate" another program by alt-tab or by
using the task bar and then returning back to POV-Ray.

Under your conditions, it actually does save the file though. In
fact, switch to any other program and it saves the file. I don't
like that behavior, but I deal with it.

While this is an old thread I will point out that that behaviour (like
most things in the editor) is configurable. See the docs for details (the
highlighted bold section under 'auto-reload').
