Is there some reason why my posts are being removed from this newsgroup?

Without even looking first at your message header I knew you were using MS
Outlook Express.
This question and similar ones occur often enough to warrant an article in
the p.a.f-a-q group on how to use Outlook Express settings.
In the event I have made an erroneous assumption, which posts in
particular are you referring to (thread Subject, date, etc.)?

Yep I DO use Outlook Express. I don't think you made an erroneous
assumption...I did. I looked in the options and there is a setting "delete
news messages XX amount of days after being downloaded. It was set to 5
days. Obviously I have erased my own messages! That option is now turned
OFF.
Thank you!

I have it set to mark all posts as read when exiting a ng, and then delete
all read posts on OE exit, and manually compact..
