Correct. I didn't do much work on this release... just a bit of
"proof-reading." :-) But I agreed that it would be good to get these
bugfixes into the hands of the POV community.

Before adding povman features to MegaPov I'd like to add at least
surface derivatives stuff to it, as it is one of key features for
surface shaders. Unfortunately due to lack of time (and inspiration) I
haven't finished it yet and seems, like it will take another couple of
month at least.
However, hopefully sometimes in next week I plan to release new version
of PovMan, which includes MegaPov 0.7 changes, contains some bug fixes
and adds some nice features. Stay tuned!

Hmm, seems like memory leak, which I reported in article

news://news.povray.org/39F18B61.A9919B5E%40aetec.ee

is missed?

I seem to remember seeing that post, but I basically skipped over it
because:
1) I was not planning to do another release of MegaPov
2) I wanted to concentrate on bugfixes that related to POV 3.5
3) That spline patch will not be included in POV 3.5, only the other spline
patch

So, because I was in a hurry and wanted to focus my time on POV 3.5, I did
not pay much attention. I do appreciate your bug tracking... it's just that
it happens to be a bug in one of the features that will eventually be
dropped.

I try MegaPOV v0.7 for Mac Version.
Both of Custom Compile by MPW and down load application do not work
"reflect_metallic".
"reflect_metallic" needs MegaPOV v0.3 and stop.
Why ??
Does this not support on v0.7 ?

Thanks Mr. Peter Popov San

I normaly version set in main files once, and other sub includes files
like this;

#ifndef(Materiasl_Inc_Temp)
 #declare Materials_Inc_Temp = version;
+++++
+++++
 #version  Materials_Inc_Temp;
#end

Now I am using MegaPOV5.0+(for Mac).

So I will check more for MegaPOV v0.7.

OK, quite valid reasons. I just thought that it was left unnoticed.

why do i need to install the jap language pack when i try to read your
message? - fair rnough you may be in japan, but there are no 'non english'
characters in the message...

you would think that win2k would at least check to see if it really needs to
install a language pack before making a pre-emptive decision...

It's the line that says
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-2022-jp;
in the original post.

OE doesn't know what sort of characters to expect, and since it's been told
that it'll be a post using that charset, it looks for a font with that
charset.

BTW, careful about your abbreviations. There are those who would take your
first question as having racist overtones.
