Does anyone know a decent tutorial for dynamic clothing? I think that I'll need
to Tailor/modify some of the ones I that have. Also what would be a good free
programme to model the clothing files?
Regards
Stephen

Out of interest I found a site that has helped me a bit.
http://www.poserfashion.net/tutorials.htm
Now I need help on the cloth room and animations. I've spent a very long time
trying to animate some clothing and Poser keeps stopping. Does anyone know any
good forums?

Stephen

Poser forum at www.renderosity.com. Also make sure that you have the
latest updates for the Poser version that you have.
good luck,

Oh, I shall go there too. Looks interesting!
I still have to dive into Clothing Designer though.
I have not tried animations so far, although that will be needed for more
dynamic posings, so, for the time being I have no solutions. The renderosity
forum seems most appropriate I think.

I think that FlyerX's advice is a good starting place. Get the latest updates.
Besides trying out different settings. I notice things like; it looks like
several vertex are not included in the simulation when it is running but when it
is finished they are where they should be. The simulation just stops with no
indication of why. I'll admit that the animation is quite extreme. (I don't know
if you remember the Spinkick one I posted in moray.binaries in 2002)

Something I did with a dynamic cape that was too large was export it,
convert it with PoseRay, edit the mesh in Moray, convert the inc back to
an obj with PoseRay and load the modified object to use as dynamic
cloth. Worked (somewhat) like a charm--at least as far as any other
dynamic clothing goes.

Absolutely. I have done that too, except I use Silo2 to modify the cloth. I
have done that too with conforming clothes in order to prepare them for use
as dynamic ones. Needs some work though, because the separate meshes have to
be joined together.

position of the arms (maybe the legs depending on the scene) to simulate
the clothes in Poser. In the WIPs below, I exported the model then
changed the arms so that they were sticking straight out to the side to
calculate the clothes. I then exported the clothes and combined them in
PovRay/Bishop3D for the final renderings.
