Gents,
is there a way to switch off alpha channel usage with imape maps?
I knwo that you can enable/disable alpha with image_pattern, but image
map uses always alpha.
Thank you

This is the wrong group for this question. This group is for discussion of
the POV-Ray source code. Questions about using the POV-Ray should be asked
in either povray.general or povray.newusers.

Thorsten,
sorry for wrong group, but this question is not for general or newuser
because there is simply nothing to switch on/off for the user, so code
needs to be added.
if you look into the code then you will see that alpha channel is
always used if present.
So in order to make my question more clear:
Is there any intention to implement such switch?
If not can i do it?
Thank you

I don't think there is a need for such a feature - what's wrong with
loading the image in a paint program, removing alpha channel and saving
again? If you want this automatized you could use ImageMagick.
BTW even if this is about a feature suggestion this is the wrong group.
Follow-up set.
