  "Not available in your area."

Yeah, like they were going to lose tons of money if it was.

Same here. I think they want you to buy the DVD if you haven't paid the taxes.

Sorry about that. They should at least make a note, but
the page doesn't say a word about area restrictions.

I've seen it before. (I own the DVD set.) And yes, at this speed, you
can see that plants have "behaviour" just like animals do.

Actually programs like these are only possible because the BBC know they can
get a lot of income by selling the program to foreign broadcasters. These
foreign broadcasters have contracts with the BBC which prohibits the BBC
from showing such programs in their territory (including over the internet).

It always amazed me to watch vines in time-lapse, you'll see it sprout a
tendril, then the tendril will feel around for something to grasp, then
snap to it and wrap itself tightly around its target. Amazing stuff ;)

Quite. You can see shoots squirm around, seeking the light. You can see
branches push enemy plants out of the way, and leaves vie for position
in the light. You can see creepers grasp things. There's even a kind of
ivy that feels around inside rock crevices and "plants" its own seeds.
Seen at this speed, plants behave every bit like animals.

Weird, freaky animals with infinite limbs and limitless capacity for growth.

It's kinda scary, actually... o_O

After a lot of fighting with UK proxies and rtmpdump, I got to see the
video. Really cool.

I wonder how they managed to keep the lighting *so* stable between shots...

Now to do a similar anti-DRM/geoip fight for this one.
