As you get older your chances of finding a *real* maiden get slimmer.
You might have to settle for someone else:

Ain't that the truth....My joints probably have a few stories as well,
though likely not really long stories.

I'm actually having a hard time seeing it in a sexist context. Oh, wait,
I see it now - but the context here isn't talking to a female of the
species, so I think it's probably OK. ;-)

As my 85 year-old Aunt used to tell me, "You don't know nothin', yet"

As a world renowned prof in his early 80's would tell another world
renowned prof in his early 50's:

"I've forgotten more than you know!"

Hope you're not offended: I assumed you were in the mid 40's.

Not really what you're whining about, but:

http://www.ted.com/talks/ray_zahab_treks_to_the_south_pole.html

He says it at the end, but for those too lazy to watch the whole thing,
he was about 40 years old when he did that, and just at around 35 he was
not in great shape, and smoking a pack a day, etc.

	So you can change.

But don't listen to those who say "You're still young". That's the
attitude that will ensure you don't change.

According to his web site, he was more like 28 when he quit smoking and
drinking.

	Point still applies ;-)
