It turns out that this performance is also open to regular mortals too,
which is nice. (In fact, I'm almost tempted to go see this.)
And as for the price... well considering you get exclusive use of a room
in one of the most famous buildings on the face of God's Earth, *and*
you get staff, those prices are actually substancially lower than I'd
expected. Not a bad offer, really. (Although obviously not something *I*
could afford. But then, I don't need it either...)

Dude... I thought nerds being obsessed with Lord of the Rings was just a
stereotype. I didn't realise people actually *go to shows about* this stuff!

Um... firstly, I wasn't aware this was actually a stereotype.
Secondly... have you *heard* the score? It's pretty damned good. (And
I'm a musician.) I'm not sure how having the film projected in HD will
work though... hmm.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. :-)
I haven't heard the score yet. (I am a musician too, 2 music majors in
college.) I will keep my ears out for it though.

I have the score on CD. It's quite impressive. (Although I will admit
that when you're watching the film, you don't notice it nearly as much.)

I wonder if there are cheaper seats, those look to be box seats, but RAH
has seats for mere mortals as well.

I've got the complete recordings set (all three films), and the music is
incredible. Shore demonstrates a wide variety of styles and did a
surprisingly good job with it.
