Me: I hypothesize that for any small snippet of code posted, at least
one other person will find an alternative way to implement the same
thing - possibly by a radically different method. We should probably
have a name for this...
Other dude: "confusion"?

Nobody that I know of says that - or, for that matter, anything else at all
involving Haskell.

Yeah, that's about it really...
Although Haskell does have a reputation as being "for boffins only" -
and boffins have a reputation for not having any humour, so... ;-)

Hmm... well... Adams seems popular. Pratchett I have literally *no idea*
why anybody would like. And Monty Python is sometimes mildly amusing,
but I don't get the huge fascination...

I've spoken to people who have, and none of them liked him. Plus the
articles on Wikipedia make it sound like the guy was on acid when he
wrote this stuff. (The selected quotations are pretty disturbing too...)

It will all make sense in context. Yes, even the orang utan, the turtle,
the death of rats and the genetics that could give rise to Miss Susan.
Besides you are missing a lot of in-jokes here.
