That's odd, my 12-year-old Swiss army knife (yes!) is still amazingly
sharp and I don't recall sharpening it even once. My kitchen knives
(made by Hackman) are also in good condition (though I don't use them
much - I'm not that much into cooking).

I have kitchen knives that are still razor sharp 10 years after they were
given to me.
I've had my penknive and kitchen scissors sharpened once in the 5 years I've
had them.
Buy yourself a good quality knife, or stop using them to cut concrete

Because they can
The systems log logins and logouts automatically, along with IP address,
probably the client PC's name and OS. There's no manual intervention and the
logs will probably roll over after a pre-defined period (probably quite a
large one)
