I feel like crap. Why? Food poisoning. Both of my other flatmates had
been incredibly sick, one having to go to the ER, after eating double
cheeseburgers at McDonald's the other day. I, in my infinite wisdom,
asked one if I could nab his extra, day before last or so. Ergo, right
on schedule, last evening I had a severe case of vomiting and even now
my body is trying to flush things out my nethers.

Remarkably unpleasant experience.

On the bright side, I'm pretty sure it's only the second time I've been
sick enough to throw up since moving to Florida in December of 2000.
Not a bad track record, I reckon.

That'd do it. There's a reason I don't eat food from McD's.

Hope you're feeling better today.

Jim

Nah, it had to've been the meat. Not cooked long enough.

Own fault :)
Sorry you're sick, though.

At which point we all nod wisely. They had a BBC Watchdog (I think) report
testing surfaces etc. in various fast-food establishments. You really
don't want to know the levels of nastiness they found.

Hmm. Isn't this a case of a compensation claim?

They serve food now? Last time I checked, whatever it was, it tasted
like paper...

I second that.

I've only had food poisoning once, but it was the worst sickness I've had in
my life. I laid in bed for 12 hours thinking that I was dying, and then
after about 24 hours, it was completely gone. After my 12 hours of dying
were up, my wife ended up with the same symptoms. My only consolation was
that, "The worst will be over in 12 hours..."

The night before, we had decided that we wanted enchiladas. We wanted them
REALLY BAD. But I checked with 2 grocery stores in town, and no sauce.
Then I found some sauce a little hole-in-the-wall place... I guess I forgot
to check the expiry date, but we never knew for certain.
