Have you ever listened to the Brian Setzer Band? My wife introduced me
to his stuff on our trip back east - we bought "Wolfgang's Night Out",
which is a very interesting reinterpretation of several classical pieces
in a swing style. (Listening right now to "Take the 5th", which is based
on Beethoven's 5th symphony, first movement).

The fact that he has continued to post means he's making progress in the
"not caring what other people think" department. Good job, Invis!
(seriously!).

I used to listen to the Krokus version of that song repeatedly. Come to think of it,
I probably still would if I had a copy of it other than the one I have on vinyl.

I listened to this one too much when I was younger. I only like to hear it
occasionally now.

I love this song, but everything else they do all sounds the same to me, drab and

This is the only one I don't know by reading the lyrics. All of the others come to
mind right away.

I've heard tell of it, but I know nothing about it other than the name.
And this God-aweful song.

Hahahaha!
Do you remember a few months later they made an identical song with
slightly different lyrics? I can't even remember the name now...

It's... different. (Since I don't know who it is, I can't comment on the
rest.)

OK, I've remembered a few more now...
You're everywhere and no where, baby,
Thats where you're at.
Going down a bumpy hillside,
In your hippy hat.
Flying out across the country
And getting fat.
Saying everything is groovy
When your tyres are flat.
[I think you know where this is going...]
Wear a tall hat like a druid in the old days.
Wear a tall hat and a tattooed gown.
Ride a white swan like the people of the Beltane.
Wear your hair long, babe, you can`t go wrong.
[Yes, I had to look this up. The lyrics are too incomprehensible...]
Kim's the first girl I kissed.
I was so nervous that I nearly missed.
She's had a couple of kids since then.
I haven't seen her since God knows when.

I can't say that I've heard of him so I looked him up on Wikipedia. (N.B. Andrew
:) I might have liked him way back when I listened to Rockabilly and Cajun. I
quite like some classical pieces done by Heavy/Rock bands. Who recorded "In the
hall of the mountain King"? I can only imagine what the "Flight of the
Bumblebee" sounds like. I'll look out for him in the second hand record shops.
:)
P.S. Sorry I can't stop myself. I'll take -10 karma points.
PPS I've just discovered "My name is Earl"

Stephen

I've heard a few like that, and I also quite like them. It's always fun
to see musicians (regardless of genre) who have *real* talent.

You mean the original? Originally, it was part of the Peer Gynt suite
done by Edward Grieg.

Incredible is the only way to describe it. There's lyrics, too, which I
didn't think I'd like, but it's very well done.
