a beta... I will just put it in the trash and empty the.... Wait there 
are over 200 files that are locked... =[ I have to go through them all 
one by one and unlock them before i can trash them... =[

Which do you mean POV-Ray or Finder ?
I think you mean locked files can not empty by Finder.
If there are locked files in Trash,OPTION + Erase(Finder's Menu) can do.
I do not know Finder's Erase Command in English OS,because I am a Japanese.

You mentioned the problem in p.beta-test twice, but never bothered to
follow-up to other people asking for more information as they could not
reproduce your problem.  How you think a problem you seem to be having can get
fixed if you are not even willing to take the time to provide essential
information to those who are trying to help you?

Putting the beta into your trash and forgetting about it will surely not make
the problem go away in a future beta, you know...

Well, if you are unable to follow the very simple instructions the Finder will
present to you in a modal alert box, I am sorry.  The ability to read
instructions shown on screen is still required to use a computer:

"The Trash cannot be emptied because all of the items in it (other than
folders) are locked. To delete locked items, hold down the Option key while
you choose Empty Trash."

Not to mention this tip can also be found *easily* in the Finder help, on the
internet and in many Mac magazines.

This is the 2nd time i have reported it in beta... The first time the only one to
respond at all was Mike Williams and i DID respond to his question(s)... So yes i
did fallow up... If you are referring to the most recent post i just responded to
those now being the first time i went to read them... Im not trying to ruffle any
ones feathers i just thought it was out of the ordinary that sooooooooo many
files were locked... I have had to unlock files in the past but no more than 3 or
five... It just seemed like allot

Why you say i did not fallow up i do not know... Its only been since tuesday that
i posted the report the second time...

Any how that's that... =[

btw i am not really interested in keeping the betas on my disk at all... just want
to see how the progress is coming along...

According to his headers, he is using OS X. This tip doesn't work in OS 
X, nor does he receive that error message in OS X. OS X simply gives him 
the option to stop the empty request or to continue emptying the trash 
without emptying it of the offending file (and OS X's trash will 
continue to ask him that question for every locked file in the trash).

It is possible to select multiple files in OS X 10.1.2, do a get info, 
and unlock them all at once, but this tip is not so easy to find, and 
anyone who ran into this problem in OS X 10.0 will not realize that the 
feature has since been added. (In OS X 10.0, the 'Lock file" checkbox is 
greyed out if multiple items have been selected.)

OS X's trash doesn't deal with locked files very well yet. It doesn't 
allow ignoring locked files and not presenting a dialog for every single 
one; it doesn't allow ignoring the lock attribute and deleting them 
anyway; and it doesn't inform the user of a means of allowing the trash 
to empty those files.

Thanks for sticking up for me... Actually i was using os 9.2 when i deleted the
files... I have been using the classic os for so long i have stopped reading
messages long ago... My spaceyness... =] In any case it is an abnormally large
amount of locked files... No...??

His bug reports (in p.beta-test) were for Mac OS.
