Hi. Can anyone create a basic ship hull for me?

It should be a hull of a WW2 battleship, best would be the hull of the Japanese
super battleship Yamato.

But no bull eyes, no rudder, no reeling, no propulsion and no deck structures
are needed, just the plain hull alone. Can anyone assist? Thanks.

Hi Sven,

no I have not your desired ship hull. In fact I just created a very simple one
after very old scetches by a certain Fredrik Henrik af Chapman (can be found at
the side of the Swedish Maritime Museum), but it's a frigate and certainly not
the Yamato (I prefer the Yamato which looks a little bit like the NCC 1701 D ;-)
and has openings for the canons. I think you should take a look at the free
resources at turbosquid (you must create an account but as long as you download
only free items you will not be charged) or at sharecg.com (which is free
totaly). I know there some free vessels, most likely not the Yamato but more
comparable with it than my old frigate by af Chapman.

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Sven,

I have no problem to share my crude model with you, but I will not publish it at
the p.b.s-f since it is really a first and very simple wip. And there are some
inaccurancies with the canon openings. If you will have it anyway I propose to
send your private email adress to mine (mine is mi-### [at] t-onlinede),
nomail@nomail seems to be not a good adress to post anything to.

Best regards,
Michael

Plenty thanks to everyone. I am still looking.

Remember, it gotta be a WW2 battleship hull. Best would be the one of the
Yamato, but any other BS is okay, too. No bulleyes, no deck constructions, no
rudder, no propulsion, and no reeling needed.

Anyone who can assist? Remember, just a crude hull, no details.

You can download this blender model of the Yamato:

http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/47793

open it in blender, remove everything except the hull, export it to OBJ,
and then you can convert it with PoseRay to a POV mesh or complete scene.

PoseRay: https://sites.google.com/site/poseray/

This also applies to any other model you can find online.

good luck,

FlyerX
