Hello,

PoseRay v2.6.0 is an utility to transform Wavefront OBJ files, edit their
materials, act as a displacement tool and convert them into OBJ,POV-
Ray,MegaPOV or Moray files. It handles the geometry, cameras and lighting
with the least intervention from the user and it was done with ease of
operation in mind.

You can download PoseRay and find more information at
http://user.txcyber.com/~sgalls/

PoseRay Features:

Geometry:
3D Preview of geometry using OpenGL with image export.

Geometry transformation: Translate, rotate, scale and axis transpose
with automatic normal update.
    Normal transformation: smooth and flip.
Vertex transformation: change winding order, weld.
    UV transformation: transpose, flip u, flip v, scale/translate u,
scale/translate v.
    Displacement mapping
Export Wavefront OBJ files with the applied transformations
    Export POV-Ray 3.5 or MegaPOV 0.7a code using mesh2{} or mesh{}

Export of Moray v3.3 UDO files.
    Incremental or absolute geometry updates.

Materials:
Automatically imports materials from Wavefront mtl files.
Material editor including color, surface finish, texture and bumpmap
properties.
Blending of textures and color in the same material
Built in creation of alpha-blended textures for POV-Ray
Built in resize and conversion of textures and bumpmaps.
Built in file search for textures and bumpmaps
    3D preview of applied materials.

Lights + Camera:
Interactive camera setup in the 3D preview tab.
Import Camera and lights from Poser 4.03 and Pro Pack scene files
(*.PZ3 or *.PZZ files)
Light editor with options for color, intensity, position, rotation,
light type and shadow.
Camera editor with options for angle, type, position, rotation and
focal blur.

enjoy,

FlyerX,

PoseRay is great, my nephew loves it too.
One prolbem though. It crashes my computer.
Works fine on my computer at the office, but
totally crashes my home machine. I get a warning
of a failure in "nvogl.dll" then the computer reboots!

I figure that is the dll of the nVidia OpenGL driver.
The configuration of the crashing machine is:

AMD Athlon 1.33
Windows XP
nVidia GeForce2 MX 400, using latest nVidia drivers.

Maybe I should convert my home computer to be dual
boot and run Win98 too.

Two programs, Spilined and HamaPatch both use
OpenGL without causing a crash. PoseRay also does
not crash if run in Win98/ME compatibility mode.
