Does this make sense to anyone? I am currently working on a scene
that would only take a minute or so to render. That was last night.
Now, when I render this scene tonight, under the same conditions, it
takes about a minute a line. I haven't been able to figure this one
out.

Insuffecient data to formulate a meaningful response. Are you positive
you have changed nothing in the scene or in your settings ?

Try rebooting your computer. Some background app my be hoging the CPU, or
perhaps a memory leak.

Yes, I did a "final" draft render before I went to bed last night. I
shut down my computer after it was finished. After work, I re-rendered the
same file tonight, and got the strange times. I re-booted many times, but I
have yet to solve the error.

Ok.

What version of POV-Ray are you running ?

What operating system and version ?

Do other programs you have on your system perform sluggishly or does
everything appear ok ?

What kind of scene are you rendering ?

a.) simple
b.) in between
c.) complicated

Does it use advanced features such as media, lots of reflections, or radiosity ?

Any other information that you can provide that may give a clue as to
what may be happening ?

With Windows, all things are possible, even the impossible.

Do a clean boot and restart as the first process is the only global
advice I can give.

This is one of the famous lies of software developers:
"But I didn't change anything!!!1"

c. But it needs more explaining. It only has primitives, but a LOT of them

I originally created this scene in Moray, but I am no longer editing the scene in
there.

Thank you everyone, for some reason I do not know, it has started
again to render at the speed I expect it to. I have no clue how this
happened, but, thankfully, it's over!
