Oh, I saw the latest round. Pretty good entries, including the one from
Thomas. Some of them blends of 2D and 3D, kinda weird, but amazing
nonetheless like the one using a picture of Jules Verne.
Yes, looks like a good contest in the same league as IRTC. Perhaps next
round I'll join... :)

Yes, St the admin doesn't limit it to raytracing.

You have still sixteen days left to create a chess masterpiece. Failing that,
join and vote for the next topic.
There is an animation section too.

I had an image in my mind of two dragons playing chess with people.
Which reminds me of a dream that was implied (IIRC) in Roadmarks by Roger
Zelazny.

Do I need to advertise it more somehow? Seriously, I thought you all
knew... :o/
Anyways, please join in, *everyone* here is very welcome, and I'd feel
real humbled and Christmassy if you did.

Had a gold-selling spammer and rather than deal with a take-down put-up
take-down blah blah cycle I just took it offline since he'd been the only
contributor for maybe two months. Nothing's been removed, it's all still in the
DB, and it will come back online eventually.
Moral: I can't have a publicly-editable wiki without someone monitoring changes
(I don't have time). It one or several of you want to enforce proper usage of
the wiki and regularly monitor changes (like, at least once a day amongst you)
then I'll put it back online more or less immediately.

I do that all the time with another wiki. Actually two. One of them is Trac,
not MediaWiki; once had a spammer add links to every single page (over 200
of them) and I had to write a scraping script to undo the changes on them
all...
When you get the wiki back up, remind me to add Special:Recent_changes to my
RSS reader :)
