Yep, one of my favorite escapes.

There was supposed to be a feature film in the works shortly before Adams'
untimely passing away. Anyone know if that is still active or was it canned
after his death?

Slartibartfast ("Saloprilopette" in excellent French translation/adaptation
by Jean Bonnefoy) is a planet designer and landscape conceptor.
He won an award for Norway fjords.
Arthur meets him at chapter 22 of "THHGTTG" and he introduces Arthur and
Ford to "Bistromatic Drive" spaceship in chapter 4 of "Life, the Universe
and Everything".
We suggest it's time for you to read the Cycle again, Simon ;-)

Hehe, thanks a lot for the reminding!... I really did forget there was
someone that designed the fjords of Norway!

Oh yes it is! Though, I still haven't read it completely... I only
bought the two first book of this trilogy of four, and then the edition
disappeared so I cannot complete my collection of the four books.

The collection I was buying had a nice image design; you can put the
four books to form a square and there you see a picture in the middle,
you can switch the books to see a different picture representing the
four books, I remember one was the Heart of Gold, another was a yellow
fish (probably a babel fish).

Since I got a little income to spend, I'll check with the ISDN number to
see if I can get the two others of the same collection!

Thanks and see you in another galaxy!

Actually they are 5:
"THGTTG",
"The restaurant at the end of the Universe",
"Life, the Universe and Everything",
"So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish",
"Mostly Harmless"
I got them compiled in "The Ultimate Hitchhicker's Guide" at Amazon.com

Interesting...

Then the books I have are obsolete! I must upgrade my bookshelf with
such piece of art!

Thanks,
   Xilo
