It has been a long way from when I first suggested the idea of a POV-Ray
logo back in May 1999 till today, involving lots of organization of the logo
contests, lots of people participating in them, lots of design work being
done etc. I'm really glad it paid off! :)

Just a quick tip for Moray users: Change Moray.ini . In it there is a
setting which reads Histogram_Type=X ; NONE . Change this to read
Histogram_Type=
Otherwise Pov3.5 will generate an error.

The icon of the WinPov 3.5 binary certainly looks a LOT better than the
one of 3.1... :)

Hmm, some great new wood textures could be made with what Warp was
describing.

Even more to explore, and I don't even understand all the stuff from
3.1g yet:-)

Oh, I dunno. A lot of them have been around in MegaPOV for a while now;
even if the syntax is different, the concepts are largely familiar. For
instance, I've been using patterns as functions (and vice-versa) for months.

Can I use UV mapping with mesh (not mesh2)? I ask this because I'm thinking
of purchasing Rhino 2.0 and would like to be able to map textures on to
exported Rhino meshes.

I wish I could consider purchasing Rhino 2.0. :-/
It's a testament to POV-Rays greatness that someone who's considering
buying a $795 modelling package is using a free Raytracer.

Export the rhino object as obj and convert to pov using pose2pov.
That converts the object to uv-mapped mesh 2. I've been using
that whith Rhino for a few months and it works fine.
