FYI, povray.org has just been slashdotted (should I laugh or cry ? :)

I am re-compiling the kernel right now to re-enable the extra 256 megs of
RAM that the machine has (it's limited to 128mb right now). The problem with
that is that the extra RAM makes it unstable, and it will tend to crash every
now and then. But for a short time it may be OK ... if it vanishes every now
and then you will know why ;)

And there was me thinking that the slow speed of newsgroup download this
evening was due to excessive numbers of people grabbing POV 3.5 :)

Jamie.

Wow, looks just like the povray.org stat graphs...

Be glad that the hit rate on banner ads is so "low", if everybody who
visited povray.org had clicked it you would have had to add two more zeros
to your number of visits ;-)

Actually, some of it might be from the couple of times you were mentioned
in comments on the slashdot article.

Yeah, and I noticed you jumping up and down a couple of times on people
who objected to the license, seemingly on religious grounds in a couple
of cases :)

Jamie.

Of course, and you did it whilst wearing soft house slippers rather than
hobnailed boots, too :)

Jamie.

Hmmm.... perhaps not? Is nice to have a lisence that confuses stupid
people: that prevents them from using POV-Ray and haging here with even
more stupid questions. Nice, isn't? :)
