I set up a discussion board using InsideTheWeb.com. The header states:

"A place for users of the Persistence of Vision Raytracer to discuss
povray politics, religion, culture, current events,  raytracing, ethics,
and theology. This board is in no way officially associated with the
POV-Team. The requirement for posting here is that you abide by the
Terms Of Service of InsideTheWeb.com. See these terms at:

This board providees a venue for discussion among the closely knit group
of povray friends who love to bonk heads on topics unrelated to the
official business of the POV-Team and unrelated to getting help using
POV-Ray.  As all free services, it involves looking at banner ads but I
hope the benefit to prolific povvers (and the POV-Team via reduction of
unnecessary server usage) will outweigh the nuisance of these ads.   The
spirit of this board is that inflammatory and ugly rhetoric (I've been
accused of such as well) only leads to hurt the cause you're advancing.
Those who spew hate and/or silly fussiness only serve to make their
cause look worse.  The hopefully manageable number of participants in
this forum will also be a nicer place to hash issues out than the deluge
that the worldwide usenet can be..

While I applaud your intentions it appears you have attracted someone
who is going to use it as his personal soapbox. I don't think you can
count on me to attend for a while. I don't need the that kind of

I found it so tempting to reply to this one.

Let's just say it's obvious and flagrant BS. Arguing the logic behind that
statement won't make any difference with Matt.

Consider this all I shall concern myself with the new p.o-t anymore.

That's for sure, which is why we should all ignore him and maybe then he'll
realise that we simply don't *care* what he thinks.

I won't be participating in that group, at least with newsgroups you can
killfile people like him.

BTW I really meant comments on  u.p.o.t. but if it's OK on this server
that's ok too.

Let u.p.o.t. be a place for groundbreaking provocative discussion, and
news.povray.org a place for discussion of the business of the POV-Team and a
place to get help w/ povray.
