I like the design very much, It's a nice relief to see a website
designed so only the info you need is on the screen at any one time.
The colours seem to work well IMO, looks elegant and well thought out in
it's design.
Are you going to add your site to the new POVring?

I had to disable style sheets on NS 4.76 (Windows 98 and Mac 9.04) to get the page
to load at all... but once I got there it looked very good. Good design.

This is how it works in IE 5 and NS 6 (using JavaScript); unfortunately I do not
know how to make the whole table cell clickable under NS 4.x

I have specified a width of 20% for all 5 menu tabs, but for some reason NS 4.x
does not respect this. It works fine under IE 5 and NS 6 - but again, I don't
know how to make it work right under NS 4.x... Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, perhaps I should make the code section work like the gallery section, i.e.
put an "up" button somewhere. I'm not sure, though. IMHO it is more convenient
to switch between subsections when the pull-down stays open. But I don't want to
keep it open for the gallery section, because the number of galleries is likely
to grow and the menu would start to take up too much screen space.

Probably a good idea. Perhaps I should add a "pull-down menu" to the links
section also?

Yes. This is easy to fix, I'll just remove the text if there is no link
available.
BTW, it's not JavaScript that changes the font and removes underlines from
links; its the style sheet. But when JavaScript is disabled, NS 4.x for some
reason also disables style sheets! Frankly, my respect for that particular
browser dropped several notches while designing the site. NS 6 is much better at
rendering web pages correctly, but otherwise the current version is still quite
buggy.

I can add image dimensions to the ALT text. But other than that I really don't
know what to do about this. There aren't any outrageously large pictures, most
are 800x600 or below.

Personal taste... I don't much like loud / bright colours myself (hell, most of
my clothes are black :)
Obviously I still need to increase the contrast, though.

Well, I specifically said the code section is not finished. And there is a list
of updates at the main page, which states "17 images added to the galleries".
The code section should be updated soon, too.
BTW, do you have some phobia of empty web pages? ;)

Haven't thought about it yet; I'd better finalize the content before considering
any such thing.

I don't read slashdot much myself, but I agree that it's an useful news
resource. Thanks for the suggestion.

That is strange. No such problems here with 4.7, but it too exhibits some
generally quirky behaviour with style sheets.
Still, I really find CSS too useful to ditch over this.

Nice website!
The design is nice and simple and it's easy to navigate.
Also thank for linking! :)
I'll add the website address to your entry on the POV-Ray Users website.

I tweaked the colour scheme (hopefully better contrast), changed the menu system
for the links page, and added some stuff to the code section.
Does it look better now?
